Hey,
I’m stopping by with a small token of appreciation for being a paying subscriber of Sober Soulful. Thank you! I’m grateful for your presence and support.
This guided audio and accompanying handout come from group acupuncture and meditation sessions I’ve held at health clinics and addiction treatment centres.
In those settings, folks sit or lie on the floor while soothing music plays. I do a brief introduction, then go around placing needles. Once everyone’s needles are in, I lead a gentle, nurturing meditation.
The one I’m sharing today features Mary Oliver and is among my favourites. It speaks to surrender…and sovereignty. It captures the moment when we see the clear choice before us and choose the next healing thing. Including when others push back. Including when we must save the only life we can save.
I encourage you to make time and space to listen in. While I won’t be there with acupuncture needles, I will be there in voice and spirit. These places of practice aren’t easy…but are beyond worth it. You are beyond worth it.
With love,
Dana
